i really hate the summer. i have to be honest. i loathe the heat. i hate sand, beach, water, i sweat more, my car usually doesnt have AC and i hate sleeping when its hot. the only things i really like about summer are that a lot of my favorite bands tour and a lot of great movies come out. that being said here are a couple.

"I guess Seann William Scott's kinda got Butt-Head eyes," Judge agreed when given one possible casting idea. "A long time ago, Johnny Depp had said to me that he really wanted to play Beavis. ... He was doing that ['Don Juan DeMarco'] movie with Marlon Brando, and he said Marlon Brando used to imitate Butt-Head, and he would do Beavis."

Whoopee Cushion

A whoopee cushion awaiting a victim
A whoopee cushion awaiting a victim

A whoopee cushion, also known as a poo-poo cushion and Razzberry Cushion, is a practical joke device that produces a noise resembling a raspberry or human flatulence. It is made from two sheets of rubber that are glued together at the edges. There is a small opening with a flap at one end for air to enter and leave the cushion.

To use it, one must first inflate it with air and then place it on a chair. An unsuspecting victim sits on the whoopee cushion, forcing the air out of the opening, which causes the flap to vibrate and produce its distinctive sound.

The item was invented in 1930 by the JEM Rubber Co. of Toronto, Canada, by employees who were experimenting with scrap sheets of rubber[7]. The owner of the company approached Samuel Adams, the inventor of numerous practical jokes and owner of S.S. Adams Co., with the newly invented item. Adams said that the item was "too vulgar" and would never sell. JEM Rubber offered the idea to the Johnson Smith Company which sold it with great success. S.S. Adams Co. later released its own version, but called it the "Razzbery Cushion."[7]

how i work the ladies

im going to lunch
oof
ftw
whats up and shit

bye bye now

at least thats what you said

after being reminded that i havent' blogged in a minute i got right back to work
i put on another one of my favorite bands, wilco, and want to make a post about them. but i will do that later. first i want to talk about last night. i went to see another amazing band, omaha indie rock band CURSIVE. first, tim kasher is an underrated genius. the man writes brilliant music for two bands - cursive & his side project the good life. Cursive was great, playing most of their new, just freshly recorded record & ending with some old hits. it was a real treat to hear sink to the beat, which i have never heard live. here is a picture from the show.

it was a lot of fun. thats joe, kevin, melissa, susan, me and rob hanging out with tim. rob's a bit thirsty. we did have a lot of pizza before the show.

also, my car is about to die. my poor old 99 silver grand am with 145k miles has done me very well these last 6 years. it has taken me to brooklyn, philly, boston & maryland. But also, she is about to die. ive been on autotraders all morning looking at cars. I need one. I wanted to move out but i think the reality is that I need to get a car. Any suggestions? leave them in the comments.

also, if your in the suggestion mood - put what you think i should eat for lunch today. im getting hungry.
