that's what she said

so i want to start of this post by expressing how excited i am that october is just about here. it is by far my favorite month of the year for several reasons, all being highlighted in this blog entry. first, everything begins to die and starts to turn reddish orange, and in my opinion new jersey becomes espescially beautiful this time of the year. taking a drive down route 18 is such a joy. second, and this is a double edged sword, the baseball playoffs happen. but the november comes and baseball season is over, and i really have no purpose. we should be seeing new full lengths from say anything and saves the day, a new ep from ryan adams and a new brandnew single. a ton of good shows. and finally, television. sweet sweet sweet television. how i love thee.

sundays - curb has been solid the last three weeks. pretty good. pretty pretty pretty good. larry david continues to just do what he does best- point out the insignificant wrong doings in society and make them a huge point. what my mother would refer to as small stuff, he exploits to the fullest. last week the ice cream sampler abuser. and marty funkhouser being an orpah, and each time marty says your lucky your my best friend and larry responds 'im not your best friend..' fucking great. and this goes without saying that the best character on the show, the one that allows david to fully shine, susie has yet to blossom this season. the 2nd episode when she kicked him out was classic susie, but im still waiting for this seasons 'four eyed fuck and you fat piece of shit'

thursdays - the office made its fourth season debut last night. first of all, how amazing is it that pam and jim are together. watching them is way more fulfulling than the fact that i dont have a girlfriend. as long as they are together, im stoked. not to mention, the shit they are going to pull on dwight this season has to be amazing. im not sure how the writers will top having dwight wait on top of a building for a CIA helicopter only to text him 'abort mission you have been compromised' or putting his stuff in jello and/or the vending machine, jim dressing as dwight and vice versa (dwight, in my opinion totally won...ugh hey karen wanna get together later and have sexual intercorse...ugghh little comment uggh..but jim was great. fact. bears eat beets. bear. beets. battlestar galatica.) fuck i love the office.

wednesdays- and finally, what i've been waiting for most. south park. each season gets better and better. stone and parker have really reached the point in their careers where they have nothing more to prove and have comedy central by the balls, can and will pretty much do whatever they want. they will attack whoever they want at any cost and to be honest, i fucking love it. south park walks up to the line of what should be acceptable, takes a big deep breathe and few steps back and than hurdles yards over it. we need more television like this.

how about them yankees. 3 games left in the season. to be honest, im way excited for the playoffs but by halloween im going to be depressed. i love baseball season. its my favorite sport, something that is extremely enjoyable to watch and follow, and my team struggled the first half. everyone counted them out, they were 14 and a half games out of first place, and here they are with 3 games, a playoff spot clinched and a possible (but unlikely) shot at winning the division. whats amazing is how many people in may counted the yankees out, citing how great the mets were doing. come on. and look at how hard the mets have fallen. if this team does not make the playoffs it will be a huge dissapointment considering how hard they played the first half of the season. but the yankees have really struggled and came together. the perfect blend of youth and veterans makes for such a strong team. the yankee bench staff is fantastic, i love that they are grooming donnie baseball. phil hughes pitched a spectacular 7 innings yesterday. so with all that being said, bring on the indians.

clearly i have been doing nothing but watching television. oh well.
